About Yoder’s Central Air
Yoder’s Central Air was started around 2002 by Phineas Yoder. He largely worked by himself for years till his sons were old enough to help full-time. Over the years employees have come and gone. Phineas sold the company to his son, Justin, in May 2020. Phineas has continued working at Yoder’s doing service calls. Justin mostly does installation and replacements. Andrew Miller manages the office tasks while his brother Byron does mostly service work. We have a number of commercial clients, but our niche is working with residential HVAC systems, air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and oil furnaces. With our limited man power, we hesitate to bring on new commercial clients.
When you call our office at 302-674-5144 expect to talk with Andrew.

Heat pumps are electric units that provide year-round heating and air conditioning. In the cooling season a heat pump acts just like an air conditioner. In the heating season, a heat pump reverses the process and uses heat energy extracted from the air to provide heat for your home.
An air conditioner is the outside unit that compresses refrigerant and then sends the chilled refrigerant inside to the indoor coil.
In a gas furnace, a pilot light ignites a series of burners inside a combustion chamber. The heat these burners create then enters the heat exchanger, where the heat transfers to the air and raises it to the temperature set by the thermostat.
In an oil furnace, oil is sprayed into a combustion chamber at high pressure, propelled by a blower, and ignited by an electric spark. The oil continues to burn as the mist is sprayed.
This thermostat will automatically heat or cool your home to maintain the temperature you like most. Its simple instructions and large backlit display make it easy to use and keep your home comfortable all week.
